Develocity Release Versioning
Develocity employs a Year.Major.Minor format for its release numbers, reflecting a hierarchy of changes and their release cadence.
The Year component (for example, 2025) identifies the release's timeframe.
An increment in the Major component (for example, 2025.1) signifies a substantial release introducing new features and potentially architectural changes.
An increment in the Minor component (for example, 2025.1.1) indicates a smaller release that includes enhancements and bug fixes within a specific major release stream.
